On this day which is the fourth anniversary of the al-Qaida attacks on America, the political pissers and moaners (whose finger pointing and spinning is mainly for partisan political advantage), and the FEMA-crats and FEMA-philes who dream of better plans and more money and power to throw around, are yet again outdone by private charities and NGO's.
Private organizations have already gathered nearly $700 million in donations for Hurricane Katrina related relief efforts, and for the whole five state region too, not just metro-New Orleans.
And to further kick this dead horse, as has been noted numerous times before, the NGO's and private organizations are much more efficient and effective in their expenditures and outcomes than the confused, half-hearted, and at times brutal efforts of the state entities involved.
