From the chutzpah files: House Majority Leader Tom DeLay says he's done such a great job cutting the federal budget that he can't find offsets to pay for Katrina aid.
Leader DeLay, a 10% across the board cut in discretionary federal spending MORE than does it. 5%, plus a pull out of Iraq, does it, too.
When a family has a financial setback, they cut back the niceties. Why not the Feds? Please spare us the double talk.
