Tookie learned the hard way... The victims' families, as well as society, have had their revenge. God bless the Governor for not folding under the political pressure. More than his books, present gang members and potential murderers will learn from his execution...

However, I agree with many of the points you've made in this article. One being, why is he being executed now? He's been in prison for 25 years. I think the general idea of prison in the US is faulty in a sense that there is little or no attempt at rehab. No wonder there's a revolving door syndrome at jails and prisons around the US.

But the fact remains, this man was convicted of murder. The details of the murder are far more gruesome, far more violent and far more unmerciful than the details of Tookie's execution. And for that, I feel justice was served.

But keep up the good work. Your writing is wonderful.
