Dear Editor,
In Representative Ron Paul's latest article, titled "Small Steps Toward Immigration Reform," Paul talked about his introduction of an amendment to the latest immigration bill to eliminate birthright citizenship from our current immigration policy. For a so called "constitutionalist" to introduce a measure so clearly opposed to the 14th amendment's definition of a citizen as "all persons born or naturalized into the United States" demonstrates a clear triumph of prejudice over principle. I find it sad indeed that Paul puts more value in booting recent arrivals out of our country than in preserving our country's constitutional principles.
