(Albuquerque) – Will you be able to get health care if Obama succeeds in socializing American medicine? Will New Mexicans be able to obtain care or just sit on a waiting list waiting for a bureaucrat’s approval?
Find out the answers to these questions by joining the Rio Grande Foundation for an evening discussion about health care reform (both the good and bad) with Christie Herrera of the American Legislative Exchange Council. Herrera directs the Health and Human Services Task Force for the Washington, DC-based American Legislative Exchange Council and is one of the nation’s leading experts on free market health care.
Herrera will be sharing her insights with legislators in Santa Fe earlier that day and will be happy to discuss the reforms including “guaranteed issue” that are being pushed by Governor Richardson, and the wide variety of reform proposals currently working their way through the New Mexico Legislature. She will also discuss President Obama’s health care reform plans and what they mean for the future of American health care.
Light snacks and drinks will be served.
The event will take place at the Balloon Fiesta (not the Balloon Museum) from 6pm to 7:30pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. The Fiesta is located at 4401 Alameda BLVD, NE in Albuquerque. Attendees are encouraged, but not required to RSVP to Rio Grande Foundation by calling 505-264-6090 or emailing info@riograndefoundation.org.
