FBI, NSA again caught illegally surveilling Americans

FBI for years illegally accessed NSA’s data on Americans collected under Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Amendments Act — and shared some of it with private parties! NSA’s collection of such data was illegal in the first place, but the agency ignored reprimands from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The whole program appears to be in violation of the Fourth Amendment.

The FISA court’s (toothless) October ruling again reprimanding NSA and FBI was recently reeased to the public.
